Object Armor

In order to calculate armor, you use what is called an Armor Calculator (help armorcal). What this will do, is set all the necessary values for you.

In order to use the armor calculator you type: armorcalc <armor type> <quality> <wear location>. (Magic AC is no longer on armor, it is done purely through spells and magical equipment like amulets)
Example: armorcalc leather 20 head

The armor type is the type of armor this particular piece is, such as platemail, chainmail, mithril, leather armor, etc.
You can see a list of the different types available by typing: ? armor.
If the type you are trying to make is not listed, let Crystal or Cedric know.

The quality is how good the armor is on a scale from -50 to 100. -50 being the crappiest, 0 being average, and 100 being exquisite. It’s rare that armor should have a quality of 100 unless it is expertly crafted.

The wear location is where it would be worn on the body, such as the head, or the torso, or the legs. To see a list of wear locations, type: ? wear

Encumberance is also set automatically by the armorcalc based on the armor type, quality, and wear location. So don’t worry about setting this.

Essentially, armorcalc sets all the v0-v4 values for you.

Armor guidelines for pricing, weight, and description are being constructed.

To exit the object editor, type: done

And be sure to -always- save your area by typing: edit area, asave area, done
