I’d also like to commend Lyght on her wonderful efforts with one of our first player-run events, the Festival of the Great Hunt. A good time was had by all and extra RPP were rewarded to the participants

For those that aren’t familiar, Labor Day is September 1st, 2008.

First, the results for the God Myth Contest. We were unable to choose one story as the winner, because we really enjoyed the writing and the moral of two. The stories “Erileia’s Messenger” by Faeliasis and “Gannor and the Smith” written by Thorn were our two top choices. As a runner up, Stavros’ entry “Anari’s Lover” receives an honorable mention for being very well-written.

The second contest was held on the forum, to create a slogan for Advent. The winner would be used on the main page and win 15 RPP. The winner for this contest was Sonderval with his slogan: “Advent of the Mists : At least your characters are cool“.

We will still use some of the other quotes that we enjoyed in advertisements as well.

Our next contest is a Limerick challenge for the month of August. Details are on the forum!

For the month of June, we will be holding another story writing contest. The theme for this contest will be to create a myth about your God of choice. Examples would be: a cautionary tale about what happens when you cross that God, an inspirational story about that God helping out their followers, etc. Think of it as a tale that would past passed down through the ages.
